I'm a psychoanalyst in private practice on the upper west side. I work largely with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, and have a special interest in creative blocks. Before I became a therapist, I worked as a freelance writer, editor, and writing coach. The most fulfilling part of that work for me was helping writers overcome personal obstacles in order to accomplish their goals. Now, as a relational analyst, I have the privilege of helping many different kinds of people find themselves at some of the hardest times in their lives. I'm a graduate of MIP's Licensure Qualifying Program and a supervisor in the LQP and CPP. My award-winning paper, "The Making of Meaning in the License Qualifying Candidate: Some Experiential Reflections on Training," originally published in "The Candidate Journal" and presented at NPAP, is now taught in analytic training programs throughout the city.
